A Modular Design System for Artist Stores at Scale

Building a mobile-first Shopify pattern library that powers hundreds of unique ecommerce experiences — fast, flexible, and never cookie-cutter

Challenge

With hundreds of artist storefronts to migrate to Shopify, we needed a design system that moved fast but didn’t feel templated. Every store had to look and feel unique to the artist while being mobile-first, modular, and easy to launch at scale.

My Role

Lead UX Designer, UX Researcher, A/B Tester

My Approach

I built a mobile-first pattern library from the ground up: everything from product grids and bundles to marketing tools and limited-edition drops.

Each pattern was informed by research and testing, then crafted in Adobe XD and Figma to support fast iteration and team-wide collaboration. I oversaw implementation into Shopify as flexible templates and schema-driven tools, then reviewed implementation across all storefronts.

Result

Stores that feel artist-first, not cookie-cutter — and a foundation that lets us launch faster than ever.
